The TFU Biotechnology Center is getting a major upgrade!
In the summer of 2013, it became clear that the residents on Sedanstraße needed protection from the noise generated by the air conditioning units on our roof. Together with the City of Ulm and a specialized company, we planned the necessary systems.
The task was to enclose the rather large units with a steel structure and line them with suitable soundproofing mats.
Delivery of the partially completed sound barriers began on Monday, March 10, 2014. Airbus Defence and Space (EADS) provided spaces for the crane and for the installation of the large soundproof walls.
Three days later, all the parts were on the roof. Final assembly on the roof is now underway. This will take some time, as it will require the use of a crane once again, among other things.
