On January 22, Professor Kongehl was presented with the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon, awarded by Federal President Joachim Gauck, at Ulm City Hall for his contributions to data protection.

Professor Kongehl has been working tirelessly in this field since 1983. In 1997, he founded the nonprofit udis Academy, which trains data protection officers based on the Ulm Model and has been based at the TFU since the fall of 2003. The Federal Cross of Merit also serves as a reminder to all of us to take data protection truly seriously.
