About LangCor GmbH

For all three of us, self-fulfillment and the opportunity to work creatively were the main motivations for starting our own business. We also shared a common interest in bringing new ideas and a sense of enjoyment to the work involved in providing services in this industry.

So, in a series of preliminary meetings, we worked intensively together on the idea and the business plan. The first important questions were then:

What services do we offer?
How do we offer these?
Who are our customers?
How do we reach our customers?

To that end, we also sought outside help—for example, from a management consultant. This step propelled us forward tremendously and reinforced our commitment to moving forward together. After all, it’s important to present your idea to as many people as possible. Doing so also allows you to test how convinced you really are of your own idea.

The question that gave us the most trouble (3 months) was what to name the company:
LangCor GmbH – LANGuage COordination and Review or Regulatory, depending on the context. A company’s identity is an important matter, and we’re still very happy with it today.

Building a customer base was the biggest challenge right from the start. There’s probably nothing more important to a company than marketing and sales. That’s true at the beginning, and it stays that way. It’s easy to lose sight of this in day-to-day business, especially when you’re working at full capacity.

Looking back after five years, we realize that our portfolio and areas of focus have been constantly evolving.
When we compare this to our original plans, we can definitely see some differences. That’s why it’s important to be flexible. We must constantly adapt our own products to our customers’ needs, question them, and continue to specialize more and more in this area.

And yes, we’d do it again!
