Background music: Pastorale from J.S. Bach’s *Christmas Oratorio*, Introduction to Part II
Reading:
But it so happened at that time that a call went out from common sense to support early-stage startups . And this support was the very first of its kind and took place during the time when Winfriedus was Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg.
And everyone went off to think of something , each to his own town.
So Peter from the ministry, based in the city of Stuttgart, set out for the Jewish land, to the city of startups—known as Tel Aviv—because he was from the house and lineage of Startup BWs, so that he could draw inspiration alongside Arndt Upfold, his trusted deputy; they were motivated.
And while they were there, the time came for them to be enlightened. So they devised their Pre-Seed project, formalized it in contracts, and submitted it to L-Bank; for they had no other space on Heuss Street.
Entrance of the shepherds (via the center aisle) and the angels (from the side)
On stage: The shepherds gather in the center. The angels stand to the right of them.
And there were startups in the same area that faced many hurdles in securing funding and spent their nights guarding their ideas.
Messenger: Step forward. The shepherds are visibly afraid.
And the messenger from ifex approached them, and the clarity of the project shone around them; and they were very afraid.
And the angel said to them, “ Do not be afraid! Behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all Startups;”
The shepherds begin to rejoice.
Because today the Pre-Seed program was launched— —which offers you opportunities from the Ministry. And here’s a sign of that: if you go to , you’ll find the project tied up in contracts and sitting in an L-Bank.
All the angels step forward
And soon there was a crowd of Pre-Seed Pilot partners at the messenger’s house, who praised Pre-Seed and said:
All the angels speak in unison
Thanks be to Nicole on high
, and may the joy of founding
and the startups be a source of delight.
And when their partners drove off toward , the startups said to one another, “Let’s go to the ministry and see for ourselves what happened there—what Start-up BW has told us about.”
The shepherds exit the stage and line up to the side
And they came in haste and found both Schäfer and Upfold, along with the project lying at the L-Bank. But when they had seen it , they spread the word that had been spoken to them about this project . And all who heard it marveled at the message that the startups had told them.
But Arndt Upfold kept all these words and pondered them in his heart. And the startups turned back, praising and extolling ifex for everything they had heard and seen, just as had been told to them.
Closing music: Final choral section, abridged version of “ ” (“Rejoice, Rejoice”) from J.S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio
