The Ulm/Neu-Ulm Region Startup and Technology Center (TFU) and BED Businesspark Ehingen (Donau) GmbH have agreed to a close partnership.

The managing director of TFU, Dipl.-Kfr. Ulrike Hudelmaier, and the managing director of BED Businesspark Ehingen (Donau) GmbH, Prof. Michael Gaßner, have agreed to work closely together.

Going forward, TFU will make its extensive expertise in startup consulting available to the BED Business Park Ehingen (Danube) and to young companies interested in setting up there. TFU will inform startup founders about the exclusive, flexible, and very affordable office spaces at the BED Business Park Ehingen (Danube). In return, the business park will offer startup founders even more favorable rental terms for the spaces if the initial contact is made through TFU, the business plan of the respective startup is reviewed by TFU, and the company receives consulting services from TFU.

Prof. Gaßner: “Managing Director Ulrike Hudelmaier and the entire TFU team offer outstanding startup consulting. This is quite unique in the wider region. I know that entrepreneurs are in the best hands there, which is why we certainly won’t be developing our own consulting concept, but will instead support entrepreneurs in collaboration with the TFU.” Together, the TFU and BED Businesspark also aim to incorporate the specific services offered by banks, savings banks, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry into their consulting services.

Gaßner has offered the TFU the use of an entire floor specifically for the startups it supports, so that a unique, productive atmosphere—much like that of an incubator—can develop there. According to Gaßner, the opportunity to help one another, exchange ideas, and share structures and experiences will certainly be beneficial.

“Both sides will benefit from this collaboration,” said TFU Managing Director Ulrike Hudelmaier.

Neither of them sees any competition between the TFU and BED locations, even though they offer similar services to businesses, such as office, mail, and telephone services, state-of-the-art communication technology, seminar rooms, and conference services.

TFU primarily provides office and laboratory space and specializes in technology companies, while BED offers benefits specifically tailored to companies in the service sector.

As a first step in their collaboration, the two managing directors have agreed to link their websites.
