For many companies, the Internet and e-business offer exciting opportunities to enhance their competitiveness. An online presence is increasingly becoming an indispensable part of advertising and communication strategies. After all, “The customer is often just a mouse click away.”

In two seminars offered by the StarterCenter of the Ulm Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Ulm), , entrepreneurs can learn how to successfully use online marketing. The full-day seminar on December 3, 2012, will focus on the techniques and methods that can be used to optimize online stores for customer needs. The various aspects will be illustrated through concrete case studies and exercises.

However, even the most beautiful website is useless if customers can’t find it. Search engine marketing should therefore be a key component of any online marketing strategy. At the seminar on January 30, 2013, the two pillars of search engine marketing will be explored using practical examples: In search engine advertising, ads are placed strategically on search results pages. Search engine optimization can help position your website more prominently in search results on Google, Yahoo!, and other search engines.

The events are aimed at both entrepreneurs and companies that want to successfully build or optimize their online presence.
