Those who work according to the principle of “always doing everything themselves, all the time ”usually end up falling by the wayside themselves!
A successful self-employed person almost never has any time left for themselves. There’s always something more important to do.
The interesting thing is that, even in unforeseen emergencies, there’s still time:
- When a tooth hurts, we find the time to go to the dentist
- If the car breaks down, we’ll get it to the repair shop right away
- And if an urgent issue arises with an important client, we’re ready to handle it
But does it always have to be an emergency?
Aren’t we important enough to ourselves to treat ourselves to something nice every once in a while?
Maybe there’s a new client there who can actually help you. Why not schedule an appointment with the
ZFM Company —and don’t forget to mark this date clearly in your calendar!
Oh, by the way, ZFM Company stands for “Zeit Für Mich” (Time for Me). You’ll find their contact information in your email signature, and when you have appointments with this company, you can simply do whatever makes you feel good:
- Finally going for a jog again
- meet up with a good friend for dinner, or
- just read an exciting book
But there are also plenty of other “client appointments” that can help you. Last year, I recommended TFT to one of my regular clients, and he and his family are very happy with their appointments with “Thomas Family Time”!
So get creative, come up with an imaginative company name, and schedule it as an appointment—the more often, the better.
Now, if it all gets to be too much for you, you also have the option of squeezing in a last-minute appointment with your “new client”—and you’ll surely be happy to do so.
And if an outsider were to take a look at your schedule, they would see—as is the case with any successful self-employed person—a full calendar.
You can quietly enjoy the newfound freedom!
Have fun at your appointments with your “new client”!
Best regards
