What I wrote in my last post a few days ago about science and vaccination still stands. Please get vaccinated! For those who have been vaccinated, please continue to practice social distancing and get your third dose as well.
In the meantime, the numbers are—as expected—skyrocketing. Due to the new alert levels in Baden-Württemberg (Alert) and Bavaria (Disaster) and the federal legislation taking effect on November 22, we are tightening our measures.
The following rules are now in effect in our facilities:
- Masks are required in all public areas (entrance, break rooms, restrooms, hallways).
- Meeting rooms may be used by our tenants’ teams in accordance with the 3G rules, and by external participants in accordance with the 2G rules.
- Strict 2G rule for all visitors to the venues.
- According to legal advice at the federal level, starting Monday, November 22, the 3G rules will apply to all businesses, with no minimum threshold for the number of employees.
- Under the 3G rule, test results are valid only with proof of testing.
Testing: Rapid Tests Instead of Self-Tests
The distinction between self-tests and rapid tests wasn’t very important before, but it is now. We offered self-tests. However, in order to document the test results, these are only suitable if they are administered under supervision. This ties up staff at each of the companies, and it would allow people who are already infected to enter the facilities—something we want to avoid.
Therefore: Rapid tests currently seem to be the method of choice; they are available for free at testing centers or pharmacies. We will be implementing this approach for our team starting Monday, November 22, and will keep you updated.
The following is already clear:
- These tests must be completed at the agreed-upon intervals before starting work.
- It is important to have testing centers close to home so that, in the event of a positive test result, people can take action immediately without having to spend a lot of time traveling.
- You can schedule appointments in advance, so there shouldn’t be any wait times.
We still offer self-tests, but they may only be used for personal purposes.
Our team follows all the rules because we always keep in mind that, as TFU, we bear a great deal of responsibility as a service provider for many people.
Please support us in this effort! Thank you so much!
