Dear Founders,

As chair of the TFU shareholders’ meeting, I am pleased that you are taking advantage of the services offered by the Ulm/Neu-Ulm Region Gründerzentrum. I am impressed that more than 90% of these young companies make it through their first five years and successfully establish themselves.

udis, the non-profit Ulm Academy for Data Protection and IT Security (www.udis.de), hosted an anniversary conference in October 2012. This conference took place on the exact same dates as those 25 years ago when the first training program for certified, expert data protection officers began in Ulm.
It was the instructors at udis who were the first in Germany at that time to recognize the need to provide local data protection officers with seminars specifically tailored to their work. This initiative continues to be highly regarded by data protection supervisory authorities in Germany to this day.
