TFU is a member of the Association of Technology and Startup Centers in Baden-Württemberg. I have been a member of the board for several years. Together with our new board chairman, Alex Fauck (managing director of Technologiefabrik Karlsruhe), and long-serving board member Dieter Knorpp (managing director of the Technology Center in St. Georgen), we took the opportunity on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, to visit Stefanie Springer, the newly appointed executive assistant to the board at the Bürgschaftsbank, and Klaus Justus, head of special financing, in Stuttgart.
A key point of the discussions was to continue the strong collaboration even as new people join the team. Ms. Springer assured us that the Bürgschaftsbank is always ready to provide advice, including through direct contact with business incubators or founders. From our own experience, we can only confirm that our collaboration with the Bürgschaftsbank and its sister organization, the Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft, mbg, has been very constructive and, at times, creative in the best sense of the word.
