Everything’s actually great—things are going well. You’re making progress. But you’re not constantly on the go. And that’s why you’re bored. A little bit of hustle and bustle is always very invigorating.

So are you neglecting important aspects of starting your business? Many people only feel truly productive after they’ve been running around all day or put up with the chaos.

Sure, that’s important—and often necessary, too. Still, during stressful times like these, you’re not really being creative. So take advantage of moments of relaxation and do nothing. Or do something completely different. Be unproductive. Because that’s the only way you’ll stay that way.

By the way, I can’t shake the suspicion that many people are practically looking for a fight every now and then. Stand your ground and hang in there, even when there’s nothing to put up with.

I know from personal experience that this is difficult, because in our part of the world, not being stressed is practically considered bad for business. Yet the opposite is true: if you’re constantly stressed, you can’t come up with any good ideas—and innovative ideas are still the foundation of every startup.

With that in mind, I wish you just as much “boredom” as is necessary for your business success.

Best regards

Ulrike Hudelmaier

Do you ever feel this way?
