Together, they developed the \u201cexomotion hand one\u201d orthosis for people with paralyzed hands. Sensors and intelligent software detect the wearer\u2019s intended movement and use miniaturized actuators to assist the hand\u2019s movement. In Berlin, they were recently honored at the VDE Tec Summit as one of two innovative winning teams of the 2018 e-diale-Zukunft Challenge. The expert jury evaluated the ideas based on criteria such as sustainability, innovation, expertise, feasibility, and plausibility.
